Opper Chiweshe, MSN, RN, CMSRN
Assisted Living Manager & Delegated Nurse
Opper Chiweshe is the ALM and Delegate Nurse of the Flora House. She blends 30 years of bedside expertise, nurse-education know-how, and business acumen to create a warm, clinically sound residence for older adults.
A Zimbabwe-trained registered nurse who later earned both her BSN and a master’s in Nursing Education from Jacksonville University, Opper has held progressive roles across U.S. health systems—from surgical-unit charge nurse to International Nurse Program Manager for Adventist Healthcare. There she recruits, orients, and mentors globally sourced RNs for three Maryland hospitals, drawing on certifications in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Case Management, Emotional-Intelligence Coaching (EQi/EQ360), and ACLS/BLS instruction.
As a longtime nurse-residency facilitator, simulation-lab educator, and past president of the Zimbabwe Nurses Association of America, Opper is passionate about elevating nursing practice and cultural competence. Twice nominated for the DAISY Award, she brings that same patient-centered spirit to her care practice —championing dignified care, evidence-based protocols, and a team culture where both residents and caregivers thrive.

Andrian Goodum, CMT, CDP
Owner & Administrator
Andrian Goodum, owner of The Flora House Assisted Living, brings a unique blend of hands-on expertise and heartfelt purpose to senior care. With a professional background in construction, Andrian spent years building and renovating homes — but it was his personal life that shaped his true calling.
His mother, a disabled veteran, faced significant health challenges, and Andrian witnessed firsthand the importance of compassionate, dignified care for those in need. This deeply personal experience, combined with his longstanding respect for elders, inspired him to create a home where residents feel safe, valued, and truly at home.
At The Flora House, Andrian’s construction knowledge ensures a safe, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed environment, while his passion for caregiving drives a warm, family-like atmosphere. Every detail reflects his commitment to improving the quality of life for seniors and honoring the trust families place in his care.

Nicola Wray, CMT
Head Caregiver
Nicola Wray is a compassionate healthcare professional based in Silver Spring, MD, with 20+ years of customer-service expertise and five years of hands-on senior-care experience. She has progressed from caregiver to supervisor, leading teams, coordinating schedules, and ensuring residents receive attentive, dignified support. Nicola is a Certified Medical Technician, CPR/First-Aid provider, and COMAR-trained, pairing clinical know-how with a warm, communicative style that families trust.
Her journey began in the Caribbean, where she earned an Associate Degree in Marketing from the University of Guyana and excelled in sales roles across Guyana and Antigua. A lifelong calling to serve older adults led her back to school for certification in Elderly Care & Disabilities—graduating top of her class at Hope Institute—and eventually to Maryland’s senior-living community, where she was honored with Care Patrol’s “Shining Star” Award in 2024.
Nicola’s long-term vision is to own and operate an assisted-living residence that blends business acumen with exceptional, heart-centered care—creating a home where seniors feel valued, safe, and empowered every day.
